Beaumont's Annual All-School Service Day in September provides a rich opportunity for students and faculty to work together, embodying the ideals of our mission for life, leadership and service.Education happens beyond the classroom as nearly400 students and faculty work at two dozen locations throughout Cleveland. In recent years, members of the Beaumont community visited with the residents of the A. M. McGregor Home, worked with students Urban Community School, Metro Catholic School in Cleveland, and Communion of Saints School in Cleveland Heights. Students helped sort clothing at Alternaterm, packaged medical supplies for Medwish and provided organizational support at Ten Thousand Villages and the Catholic Worker community. Others worked on outdoor projects at The Cleveland Cultural Gardens, Edgewater Beach, and at Beaumont School itself.
The day begins with an opening prayer service, followed by service with our host partners and concludes with participants sharing highlights and reflections. For some, it is a great introduction to service at Beaumont, while for many others, it is an experience which further roots their commitment to life-long service.
All students must turn in signed permission forms in order to travel to an off-campus site. You can print a copy of the waiver available by clicking here (please fill out both pages). Those without signed waivers will join the group working outdoors on campus.
