Beaumont announces new bell schedule, which will begin in the 2015-2016 school year
Beaumont School will begin implementing a new bell schedule beginning with the 2015-2016 school year. Beaumont's administration has been working to establish a new schedule that will allow for an improved course load for our students.
The new schedule will be a variation of block scheduling. Students will have "A" and "B" days, taking four classes on "A" days and four different classes on "B" days. What makes this schedule unique from many A/B block schedules is the “Blue Streak Day.” During a typical week, Mondays will be a “Blue Streak Day.” This day will begin with convocation, and then have eight, 41 minute periods. This will allow students and teachers to meet with each of their classes three times a week. Furthermore, it ensures all classes meet an equal number of times per week, which the traditional A/B Block format does not allow.
