Speaker: David and Sandy Petrovic
On October 27, we will be hosting Sandy and David Petrovic, co-authors of Expect a Miracle: A Mother/Son Asperger Journey of Determination and Triumph. Sandy and David, who reside in the Cleveland area, are celebrated speakers and writers. Their mission is not only to educate the public about Asperger Syndrome, but also to encourage empathy, compassion, and acceptance of self and others.
Who should attend?
This powerful presentation would be of interest to: Persons/families affected by autism or differences; educators, clinicians, & service providers; and anyone seeking to learn more about autism or creating purpose out of hardships.This event is open to the public and is not limited to families who have a connection to Beaumont School.
Speaker: 7 to 7:50 p.m.
Discussion: 7:50 to 8:30 p.m.
Sandy and David will present for approximately 50 minutes, with fellowship, coffee, and time for Question and Answer to follow. A book sale and signing for Expect a Miracle: A Mother/Son Asperger Journey of Determination and Triumph will follow the presentation. Books will be for sale at a flat discounted price of $20. Cash or check only. If you already own the book, feel free to bring it along for David and Sandy to sign.
Speakers will be hosted in the Beaumont Theater at Beaumont School. Beaumont is located at 3301 North Park Blvd. in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Attendees are encouraged to park in the lot located off Fairmount Boulevard.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are required to register below.
Biography of Speakers:
David Petrovic & Sandy Petrovic
David Petrovic is a 23 year-old author, actor, singer, and motivational speaker. He graduated cum laude in 2015 with a B.A. in Middle Childhood Education. Dave will explain the challenges and blessings of his Autism Spectrum Disorder (formerly called Asperger’s) and will share the lessons he learned that changed his life…and could impact yours. Sandy Petrovic, RN, BSN, CDE, his mother and co-author, will provide an insightful introduction.
